Dry Cleaning

Dhobees offers environmentally friendly dry cleaning and laundry services to its customers. It uses multi-solvent, hydrocarbon dry cleaning machines that safely clean garments marked as “dry clean only” including leather and suede.

Currently, nearly 90% of dry cleaners use Perc (Perchloroethylene), a known toxin and carcinogen, to clean “dry clean only” items. Dhobees rectifies this issue by using a chemical called HiGlo for dry cleaning items not suitable for wet cleaning.

HiGlo constitutes an odourless, biodegradable and environmentally friendly alternative to Perc. Moreover, it is verified by CTTN, an independent French public interest research institute for textile cleaning. As a gentle solvent, HiGlo cleans stains whilst retaining whites and bright colours like new. Unlike Perc, it is completely non-carcinogenic and non-mutagenic.

It is both environmentally friendly and effective, cleaning water-soluble stains, fats, oils, and greases whilst retaining a soft finish for all garments. No extra additives are used, other than cleaning enhancers or pre-brushing products.
